Strategy

VELOX partnered with In-Shape Health Clubs in March 2021 when gyms were going back to pre-pandemic times. At the time, people were still hesitant to go back to their favorite group fitness class, swim in public pools, or attend a racquetball tournament. The brand was also facing confusion around which gym locations were currently open, what the mask requirements were per location, and whether or not certain features were still available – such as kids care. During the pandemic, In-Shape suffered the loss of old members but also in need to acquire new members. Their objective with Google Advertising was to increase member sign-ups at a consistent Return on Ad Spend.

Results

Our goal was to hit a ROAS of above a 1x for new membership sign ups since this would be an amount that would repeat every month after initial sign-up. Our CPA goals were different every month, but the overall goal was to keep CPA under $40 for all gym locations and increase new memberships month over month and year over year. In-Shape was able to increase their marketing budget in a variety of channels, and have come in above their new membership goals every month for 2022, as of June 2022. Revenue from Paid Ads is up 3227% in 2022 already and the number of transactions from Google Ads are up 5667% year over year.

Since June 2022, In-Shape hit an all time new monthly revenue record because of our work on Organic, Google Ads, and Facebook / IG Ads. Top 3 ranking for Organic on all 17 locations we manage within 10 months. The Organic Search campaign is generating $725,000 per month in new revenue at a 2,415% return on marketing spend for new customer acquisition.
